I photographed a lovely wedding last night at Kingston, NY of AnnMarie and Brian. We were lucky enough to have great weather and bride looked absolutely amazing. It was such a fun day and I wanted to share this beautiful moment with all of you through a few of my favorite photos.
Well, it’s been about 3 months since my last posting on my blog, trust me, there is a reason for that
I have received a ton of emails from my clients past as well as future asking how-come my blog is not being populated as often as I used to. They love my photographs, they get inspired and than….. silence.
Alright I will tell you what has been going on. I have been working on my business plan for 2012 and realized that though my technique is great and my clients love the photographs and clients are bragging about me and Treasure the Moments Photography, something was still missing. So I have decided to dedicate 3 months of my time to really work my business plan and talk with other successful business owners in photography to learn from them more about the business aspect of photography. I would like to especially thank Ed Pierce and Will Crockett for their input and support.
With that said, I am excited to bring forth the new and improved Treasure the Moments photography for 2012 with more exciting products, stories and incentives for all of you not just my future customers but all of you who have made me successful in my 20+ years in this business.
I encourage you to spread the word and please post comments on my blog and my Facebook page. For those who can generate 50 comments on this blog I am offering a free photo-shoot in the comfort of your own home with a free 8×10.
So with that, you know my secret, thank you for caring about me and Treasure the Moments photography. I am looking forward to an amazing year 2012
As a NY wedding photography studio located in the heart of NYC, I have been recently asked about the impact of legalization of gay marriage on the photography business.
At Treasure the Moments Photography we believe the legalization of gay marriage here in New York is a great victory for human rights and a great victory for the wedding industry. However, legal gay marriage shouldn’t change anything in the industry; those of us in the wedding and event planning business have always helped folks celebrate their love and commitment. It doesn’t matter whether we do that for a man and a woman, two men or two women. All marriage is about committing to love, and love is universal.
I think gay marriage is going to be a wonderful thing for the wedding and event planning industry in New York. But I also recognize that there are always hiccups and things that need to be worked out when it comes to the logistics of weddings. For instance, traditionally, the bride’s parents pay for the wedding, but who will pay for gay weddings? Perhaps both sets of parents will split the bill. Of course, it has become increasingly common for couples to pay for their own wedding, so maybe gay couples will do the same.
No matter what, I know that I will treat gay couples just like I treat all of my other clients: my goal will be to give them the most dramatic and over-the-top event that their hearts’ desire.
I received a call last night by a local news agency requesting an interview about the Same-Sex Marriage and photography business. I was proud to be selected and recognized as one of the prime Bronx wedding photographers. Here is a little segment of that report.

Wedding of Chaitra and Alex in the Historic Union Church of Pocantico Hills.
It was a beautiful day for a wonderful couple Chaitra and Alex, who have decided to tie their knot at one of the Historic sites in Terrytown Historic Union Church of Pocantico Hills.
There are many wonderful aspects of the Union Church, mainly the beautiful stained-glass windows – ten of them in all – that grace the sanctuary by two of the 20th century’s greatest artists, Henri Matisse and Marc Chagall.
Photographing weddings in historic sites for over 20 years, I have grown accustomed to certain rules…… Well Union Church was no different, I met Father Paul prior to the ceremony to go over his rules and regulations, mostly the "DO NOT’S LIST". First and for most he has forbidden me from taking photos of those beautiful stained glass. The list did not end there . No flash, no coming up the isle, no coming down the isle, no moving, no crackling of the floor, almost no breathing….
As a professional, I oblige 100%. Well in this case I messed up….. (unintentionally). You are waiting for me to say that I have photographed the stained glass hah? Nope, that wasn’t it, I was afraid for my life to do such a thing, instead, I have taken one photo of the bride and her father walking down the isle from behind WITH A FLASH….. WOW!!! Here is that shot….
Here are some of the stained glass images borrowed from http://www.hudsonvalley.org/content/view/80/145/

For the whole ceremony I had to stay back. Nevertheless, the wedding was beautiful and here is a short slideshow of this beautiful day….Congratulations Chaitra and Alex!!!

This Sat Laura and Ross invited me to the PEPSICO Headquarters to photograph their love story. It was quite a muggy and warm morning. Nevertheless, Laura and Ross made it work and allowed me to capture themselves in a perfect light in a most incredible atmosphere. Laura and Ross complement each other both with wonderful personalities. Here is a a short snippet of their perfect day!!!
